Indoors, there are two entries in the color competition worth considering. General Electric (GE) introduced its new Reveal™ [1] line a few years ago. Phillips Lighting has begun making a Natural Light™ [2] line. Both of these new products are lines of incandescent bulbs. What they do is emit light in wave lengths that are much closer to natural sunlight than those from "regular" bulbs. "Full spectrum" bulbs, which do the best job of mimicing sunlight, have been available for several years. The problem is that those bulbs come in very few sizes and are very expensive.

Reveal™, Natural Light™ and full spectrum light bulbs not only make colors look truer, they may be more effective in combating SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder - than regular bulbs are.
