Spring's here, and you're done with the fireplace until next fall. It's time to call the chimney sweep.

• Creosote builds up on the inside of your chimney, and can ignite and cause a house fire if not removed periodically.
• Finding cracks and holes in the chimney and flue can help prevent further damage or fires.
• Cleaning a chminey or flue yourself is strenuous and difficult -- this is one job where a professional is usually a good idea.  Get references from friends and neighbors.
